Do I need to register my trailer?

All of our trailers must be legally registered according to VicRoads guidelines. A trailer can be registered under the name of an individual or a company.

No, our trailers are not exempt from registration since they do not meet the criteria for exemption in Victoria. A light trailer is exempt from registration if it:

  • Has a tare mass of less than 200kg when unladen,
  • Is not wider than the towing vehicle,
  • Measures 3m or less in length, including the drawbar,
  • Is not used for business purposes.

Yes, we offer on-site registration services during pickup for customers in Victoria. We provide the number plate and registration documents on the spot.

Yes, our trailers can be registered in other states, but this requires the customer to familiarise themselves with their state’s rules and regulations. We can provide a 7-day travel permit to tow the trailer from Victoria to the desired state. Please contact us for more information.

Hot dipped galvanizing is a process where the trailer is coated in molten zinc, providing superior corrosion resistance. Hot dipped galvanised trailers are more durable and require minimal maintenance.

The Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) is the total weight of the trailer when fully loaded, without being attached to a towing vehicle. You can find the ATM marked on the trailer’s compliance plate or in the registration documentation.

The Trailer Tare Mass is the weight of the trailer itself, without any load. It represents the empty weight of the trailer. You can find the Tare Mass on the trailer’s compliance plate or in the registration documentation.

To find out the maximum loading capacity, subtract the Tare Mass from the ATM, as marked on the trailer’s compliance plate.

Our trailers are imported and assembled in Australia. They undergo rigorous testing and are designed in accordance with the Australian Design Rules (ADR). Additionally, they are approved and certified under the Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018 (RVSA), supported by testing reports from accredited facilities.
